Similar to fashion getting the contrast right can be challenging. Unfortunately for this stage in your re-decorating project there are no shortcuts, so I tend to rely on my intuition, as should you. By just trusting your gut you can usually tell if the balance is off. Remember when we spoke about layering, well this will be when you'll need to ask yourself are my curtains too sheer or too heavy, is my furniture too glossy or too matte, and if you have too much of one thing, you'll likely need to reassess your fabric or furniture choices.
