This week we're talking all things bedroom in the Western Suburbs. This lovely lady had made a start but asked Henry & Oliver Co. for some help to finish her bedroom. We see this a lot, it is very common for clients to have already made a start by purchasing items for a particular space but then realise that it somehow doesn't quite work. They're left wondering 'how do I put this together?'
This is where we can help, no project is too big or small and we love to help decorate a whole house or just one room!
In this case the task was simple, our client had already decided on the look she wanted to achieve which was an elegant, inviting bedroom space with lot of warmth and some additional storage...
The room was large with high ceilings and a neutral colour palette and although this lady already had bedside tables they were much too small for the space and didn't give her adequate storage. The existing bedside lamps over powered the room, she needed additional storage and the existing bedhead was plain and too similar in colour to the walls which meant it added no depth to the room.
Our client really liked our Catherine chest of drawers but the colour white wasn't going to work and so we had the chest of drawers custom made in our 'sag harbour' warm oak stain. This drawers offered additional storage and also gave a sense of balance to the room. We then had the Catherine tallboy made-to-order in the same colour to place elsewhere in the room given the much needed extra storage. We also choose a deep button Australian made ivory linen bedhead which added depth and a touch of luxury to the room, Finally finishing off with some complementary artwork, our palm leaf lamps with jute shade and of course the feather filled scatter cushions...
