From concept to completion in Perth's Western Suburbs....
We created this beautiful moodboard for some wonderful clients who's brief was "we like Hampton Style but not in the "traditional" sense...! So for this project we decided on a "contemporary hamptons" feel with a nod to the colonial era while keeping the character of this beautiful home alive. Henry & Oliver Co. approach every meeting in a very consultative manner, therefore both husband and wife had a hugely important role to play. We look to our clients for inspiration and ask lots of questions as this helps us really get to know their personalities, making it easier to create bespoke furniture plans.
Starting with the master bedroom, they already had some grey bedding but the colour green was a favourite also. This room overlooked a leafy garden making it easy to draw on nature for our choice of soft furnishings while still keeping some grey accents. Together we choose a luxurious soft teal velvet bedhead as a statement piece. The bedhead was made extra tall to accomodate their high-profile mattress & ensemble. We used straight vertical lines to add a touch of contemporary elegance and also give the illusion of height to the bedhead since in this character home the ceilings are always very high.
Next we wanted to create a little drama and choose black for the bedside tables and tallboy, finished off with some stunning lamps with ivory shade. Add a large silver dressing mirror, an over-sized custom wing chair in a soft grey Warwick fabric, and finish with some complimentary grey botanical artworks with champagne silver frames for over the bed...
