This week I'm sharing a recent project we had the pleasure of working on located in one of Perth's leafy southern suburbs. It all started one Saturday morning when I met a wonderfully organised woman who visited our store with her floor samples, paint swatches and some great ideas... All we had to do was understand the look she was trying to achieve and help her bring her dream to reality!
Next we were invited to visit her home which was still under construction. Although only a shell at the time we took a brief, asked lots of questions and got a real feeling for the type of interior space our client wanted to achieve. Very often it's not so much what your clients says as much as it is their personality that will dictate the direction and colour palette we choose.
Our client was a beautiful lady, with a genuine warmth and friendliness. She was meticulously detailed and knew what she wanted, we were there to help guide and advise her when it came furniture size, layout, design and colours.
Most people find decorating a single room challenging let alone a whole house!!
With a husband, children of her own and couple of grandchildren running around quality products were of the upmost importance and the brief was to be 'a warm and inviting Hampton's style home that's practical & liveable'.
With a large free flowing kitchen, living and dining room overlooking the garden we chose softer duck-egg colours, muted linens and green tones for the main living room. Our Sag Harbour Sofas were covered in natural cotton, colour linen. The Brooklyn accent chair in a soft botanical beige fabric. Some luxurious feather filled cushions, a velvet ottoman to double as a coffee table when guests arrive and all tied together with a stylish rug.
